I know I have not been updating my blog lately. Too moody to do so I guess.

er, I have not been adapting well into my new job. First of all, Raffles place is a place too crowded for me to bear. Morning and lunch crowd is totally intolerable that I have to tabao or walk all the way to chinatown alone sometimes. There are times which I joined my colleagues but it is not easy to find seats for a big gang and i feel frustrated of the waiting times. See how miserable it is.

Secondly, I have not been assigned to any project yet. Have been helping out managers on tender proposal and proposal presentation. Other than that, I have been reading and exploring tool for the team. So, either I am too bored sometimes or too stressful sometimes. I could imagine the stress I need to absorb when project is assigned.

Thirdly, I have not been blending well with the team except for some, but I may not get to see them everyday as they either work from home or they out to clients' sites. This means interactive time is lesser.

Lastly, I think the office is abit too noisy to do serious work too. Colleagues have been talking, walking in and out, making so much noise that I could hardly concentrate on my serious work sometimes. Indeed an open culture.

Too much negative stuffs. Probably one month is too short to gauge by now as i need time to adapt. Lets give myself up to 3 mths to see how it goes. All I know is I am not feeling good@ this place.

City View

EVERYTHING INCREASE!!! Cab fare, petrol price, ERP, sand price, cost of living, HDB price, food price, mrt fare, etc..How on earth are we going to survive in this era??


Have recently thought of getting the City view hdb which is near my dad's place because I am in favor of its location. Apart from its DBSS scheme, I would be entitled to the 40K grant as well. The down side of it is the cost.


Wow, the property price just continue to head north and a 5 room flat cost about 700K++. Unbelievable expensive and with the income cap at 8K, I really do not have any idea how those people going to pay off. E.g. If it is the $700K 5 room flat, they have to pay $200K cash upfront and be eligible for the loan of $500k. This means these people must $8K per month for the next 30 years plus cash to pay the difference. What happened if they are jobless for 1-2 mths huh?? Besides, I doubt they will not be able to sell the flat higher than what they have paid for right??


Anyway, we have dropped the idea because we are not eligible to buy HDB even due to our total income. Either we go for resales hdb or condo, in this case, I guess we have to wait for the market to crash BIG time in order to afford it. Well, I am waiting to see how many people suffer from the crisis.

The new start of the Year

It has been awhile since I updated my blog. First of all, A happy new year to everyone. Hope everyone has already made your resolutions for the year. Cheers!!!

Well, as for me, I have started my new year with a new hair style, a new job and of course I have made my own resolutions too.

It has been my second day at work and everything went well so far. It has surprised me that my team which consists of 20 plus colleagues are all so young around late 20 to early 30. Wow, all the young people around and having said that, it is really a fun team to work with, awesome. I have joined this company as senior consultant III and tonnes of work to learn from as I did not have any much security audit experience before. It will be a time which I have to pick up skills and certification quickly in order to catch up. Pretty excited about it because I enjoying learning.

Was told on my first day work about this initiative which I have to go on Friday night. Guess what?? An invitation to The Boiler Room at St James, a welcome party organised by the team for me to break the ice and get myself drunk. Lol..Was informed that it is the culture here for team to organise event for new comer...Sound interesting???

Night at The Boiler Room was good. It was very sporting for the entire team to turn up and enjoy themselves. They have ordered "BIG" bottles of Hennessy XO ($800++ per bottle), vodka, etc. The chap who paid for it is definitely generous as I think the total bill definitely costs a few thousands dollars. As I am the ones to be initiated, colleagues had been asking me to drink round the table. See, I am allergic to alcohol and what I did is to add many ice cubes into my drink to make it diluted. Besides, my girl colleague also helped me by adding plain water into the drink secretly and not to say, my buddy did help to drink some on behalf of me. Lucky me!!!

All in all, the night was fun. I get to be closer to them and able to map the names to their faces. Next is to get busy with projects coming the way...

Slipped Discs

He has been crying in pain eversince I came back from honeymoon. Took him to the vet and could not examine what wrong with him except for fever. So back home with painkiller and he got well after two days. Well, with that it costs me $80.


(2) Two days ago, the same symptoms came back. The symptoms are (a) High pitch barking, (b) crying in pain, (c) limping sometimes and (d) could not jump up and down my bed. So worried that I actually had to bring him back to Animal Recovery Center today. This time round was another vet who examined him. His name is Dr Lai and he actually laughed heartedly when he saw cookie. "What happened to his hair?", he asked. "Well, he actually dropped too much hair that we decided to shave him off but to keep the shape of his head hair to make him looks like a lion", i replied. Anyway, Dr Lai used his N95 nokia and took photos of cookie as he looks cute. This is how he looks like. lol.





(3) After which, Dr Lai took four xray on his neck and he actually suffering from slipped discs on his cervical region.




(4) Cervical disc disease involves the acute or chronic pressure of material from an intervertebral disc pressing on or around the spinal cord in the area of the neck. The exact cause of disc degeneration is unknown but in many cases there is a change in the content of the disc from a soft, pliable gel to stiff mineral that can slowly compress the spinal cord or suddenly burst into the spinal canal. Discs in the cervical region of the spine can affect the front legs and the back legs to varying degrees. This disc disease can affect one side of the body or both sides.Dogs may show only mild neck pain all the way through to complete paralysis of all four legs without the ability to perceive any sensation whatsoever. Sudden onset neck pain is the most common clinical sign.


(5) Dr lau had given him steroids to relieve his pain and would like to see him again before he flew off on the 29th of Nov. He mentioned that it is not serious now but can be very serious if the pain still persists. Cookie has to go thru MRI and surgery. MRI usually require anaesthesia and the surgery is considered a risk ones which 10% of dogs died from it.

(6) Before we left, Dr Lai told his staff that cookie looks so cute and he has a pair of "ren xing" eyes.

(7) Two and half hours at the center and now we are home sweet home. Little boy has to be on medication and glad that he quite love the medicine. By the way, it costs me $250 for the whole procedure. I am broke with my brother wedding this month..

Well, hope he gets well soon..I am so worried about him!!!

Perfect Wedding @ Changi Village Hotel

It turned out to be a fabulous and perfect wedding!!! Hereby, I would like to record every single bit of effort which Oggy and myself had put together for this big day 26th of Oct.

Reasons we chose this hotel because we like the ambience, off the city and allow 7 tables of 8 course chinese wedding dinner to be hosted. By the way, we stayed a night at 6th floor with the room facing the sea.

I have randomly picked the solemniser from the registered list and lucky did I choose a former MP.

We have sourced for the Heart-shaped keychain which comes in 5 colour. Printed with the word "love" in the middle. I have also bought the gold organza bags to better present them to the guests. For VIP tables. I have sourced for a chinese couple magnet keychain in pink organza bag.

(6) DIY our own wedding invitation card

It took me months of effort to complete our wedding invitation card of 50 in quantity. Time was needed to source for a right background, font type, text written, hard envelope colour, texture, ribbon, pin, card cutting, printing, etc. It was never easy to find something which suit my style. I have done up so many samples but failed. The process of seeking for the right style has eventually enlighten me to go with metallic colour theme. Here are my wedding cards.

My cousin Aileen has helped me diy on the Guest Book. It is in a form of two joined big hearts stuffed with polyester with few pages of cupboard paper behind. I love it!!

We have two cheeky MCs with us on the night and they had made our wedding a success. They were Rafeal and Aileen. Without the effort of this handsome chap and pretty babe, our wedding would not be so interesting, fun and entertaining. They had really really did a great job in coming out with the speech in both english and chinese and their effort to meet up, sit together to brain storm those entertaining games for us. Thumb up to our Two MCs. We appreciate your hardwork and enthusiasm in this event.

We have enjoyed every single moment including the yum seng session. So much so much fun. The games especially had brought life to the entire atmosphere. Firstly, Oggy sang a song "Beautiful girl" with some funny dancing and hand gesture to me. I was laughing to the stage which my tears were dropping down .

Secondly, it was the blindfold game which Oggy had to take off his shirt, wrapped with aluminium foil by the bride's team mates. After which, Oggy's team mates were given 60 secs to hang grapes around his body. Guess what, with the direction instruction given by my team mates, I have to finish eating all the grapes while I was blindfolded. Well, you should be smart enough to know where those grapes were hang. Phew, luckily it was seedless..lol

Thirdly and lastly, it was the Lap dance. It was the funniest game of the night. The Bridegroom together with three males friends (My brother, Rafeal and Ah Tat), the full monte were asked to take off their shirt with the sexy music in the background. They have to shake their butts to their partners (me, Jessica, Aileen and Elynn) sitting on the chair watching the lap dance.

Well, all in all, everything was well planned and most importantly, we together with the guests had a memorable night. The event ended abt 11 pm sharp and for some, they have stayed back behind for more happening party. I was laughing my way till 3 plus in the morning together with my cousin and some of oggy's friends. My jaws almost dropped off.

Many have even smsed us after the night saying that it was the best wedding reception they had ever attended. We would like to thanks every single guest (99.9% of attendance) who has made the effort to attend, grace and enjoy our private wedding ceremony. Though it was only 7 tables, but we are very sure, we get more out from those who host big wedding dinner definitely.

Everything can change..

Received a good news and bad news today.

The bad news is my hotel coordinator has been changing since the day we signed up our wedding package. Firstly, it was the catering manager whom I aliased with, followed by a guy and then to their manager. But now, even their manager is leaving soon and will be passing on to another new person. Oh my god, how many times must I repeat my package to them? I wanna faint. I think the working hours of the hotel is really very bad. The first contact whom I contacted with previously mentioned that sometimes they will not have off day even in a row of weeks. Sound pitiful but who will pity me huh?? Sigh..

Luckily I got a piece of good news at the end of the day. I have received a call which I long waited for since last week. It really boosts up my energy level and somehow I am ready to finish my outstanding wedding items. Yippy yippy...Finally, finally I am going to release myself from something which I have been dragging on for so long. Well, at the moment, it is going to be private and confidential to share..You will know when it is time..
