Modelling

Suppose to have a Newman Panel Interview on Friday evening at Swissotel Westin cafe and photoshoot next week, but I have kinda cancelled my appointment. When I was invited, I kinda of sian because of the need to meet another three new friends and mix around to have fun together for the photoshoot. The entire interview and photoshoot will then be published in the magazine. At the moment, memories flashed through me. Recalled the past when I was still young and participated numerous photoshoot. Pictures of mine appeared in magazines, posters and newspapers. It was quite fun at the beginning but eventually I found it very very tired and hectic.

Still remembered my first audition. There were about 8 of us invited for it and only 4 will be selected. Each of us was asked to put our head over a board and the photography will shoot our head only. Of course, we were told to smile happily. The selected model will have their face "painted" using photoshop and published in poster. A poster with 4 heads painted..just imagine..ha ha..Hey, I was one of them alright..

For the second audition, 7 of us were invited and suppose to have a photo published in magazine. It was to advertise t-shirt and we stood in a line posing in relax mode (talking to each other). Each of us was assigned to different colour of t-shirt and at that moment, I was hoping that I will not get the white ones because my green bra will definitely look transulent..Ha ha..and guess what??? I got the white ones..Damn it..."Can I have another color?," I asked the photographer and he made me disappointed. For awhile, I went blank and luckily, a professional model offered me her skin colour bra..Thanks god at the time..

Actually, there were alot of funny stuff to share for all my photoshoots..For one of my photoshoots, because the male model looked taller than me, I was made to stand on a telephone book..Sound embarrassing right?? I am so shorty...sob sob

Everyone thought it was cool to be a model and in fact, it is really a tough job. You are told what to do and smile whole day until the smile looks so fake and at the end of the day, you can no longer have the energy to talk and smile anymore. Besides, during the photoshoot, you cannot even sit down, otherwise you will be told to iron your clothes again..ha ha ha..Sound like slave..

Well, actually it was indeed a precious experience to me. At least not everyone got a chance..
